First we got some food. The park has a great legitimate seafood restaurant with a beer and wine selection- seriously, not your typical concession booth! We ordered fried oysters, pickled herring, and Mahi Mahi tacos. It was supposed to just be a snack because we were going to make curry at home, but wound up being more than we needed to eat for the rest of the day!
Hot sauce selection! This was near-heaven for me. I wish the food had been more conducive to spiciness so I could try more of the selection, but a few were good on the tacos!
Then we went and walked by the falls and down the stream. There were lots of families hanging out, enjoying a dip in the cool water. We plan on going back at least a few times this summer to try more items on the menu and explore the trails.
